Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched the updated OBD2B-compliant Hornet 2.0, priced at Rs 1,56,953 (ex-showroom). The motorcycle is available in a single, fully-loaded trim at all Red Wing and BigWing dealerships of the company, offering a blend of style, technology, and safety enhancements.

Fresh Design and Features

The new Hornet 2.0 comes with refreshed graphics on its body panels, giving it a sportier appeal. It boasts an all-LED lighting setup, providing better visibility and a modern look. One of the standout features of the updated model is the 4.2-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity via the Honda RoadSync app. This feature allows riders to access turn-by-turn navigation, incoming call alerts, and SMS notifications, adding convenience to daily commutes and long rides.

The motorcycle now includes a USB C-type charging port, enabling riders to charge their devices on the go. Safety features have also been enhanced, with the introduction of Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and dual-channel ABS, contributing to a safer riding experience, especially in varied road conditions.

Color Options

The new Hornet 2.0 is available in four striking color options:

  • Pearl Igneous Black
  • Radiant Red Metallic
  • Athletic Blue Metallic
  • Matte Axis Grey Metallic

These color choices provide buyers with an opportunity to select a variant that matches their personal style.

Powerful and Efficient Engine

Powering the Hornet 2.0 is an OBD2B-compliant, 184.40cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine. This engine delivers a maximum power output of 16.9PS and a peak torque of 15.7Nm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox that offers smooth and efficient performance.

The inclusion of an assist and slipper clutch enhances the riding experience by ensuring smoother gear shifts and preventing rear-wheel locking during aggressive downshifting. This feature is particularly useful for maintaining stability and control, especially during sudden braking or quick deceleration.

Enhanced Safety and Technology

The updated Hornet 2.0 integrates advanced safety and technology features to elevate the overall riding experience. The dual-channel ABS system significantly improves braking performance by preventing wheel lock-up during hard braking, thereby enhancing rider safety. The Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) provides additional safety by modulating engine power during slippery conditions, helping to maintain traction and stability.

The digital TFT display not only offers critical information such as speed, fuel level, and trip details but also enhances connectivity through the Honda RoadSync app. This integration allows for seamless communication and navigation support, adding practicality to every ride.
